My name is Michelle Bury. For years, I worked in a demanding corporate job that required frequent travel. As a parent of two young kids, I began searching for more meaningful work, something that would let me stay closer to home. With a degree in Art Education from Chico State and a lifelong passion for creativity, I knew I wanted to return to art in a more hands-on way.
In 2018, I sketched a design inspired by Caper Acres, a beloved children’s park in Chico, CA. That design Peace Love Caper Acres (pictured on the right) became the very first hat we ever created. I shared the idea with a local gift shop, Made in Chico, and to my surprise, they embraced it right away. That one opportunity sparked the launch of Pacific North Nest Designs. What started with a single sketch has grown into a business known for creating wearable works of art. Partnering with talented artists that create unique, thoughtful designs you won’t find anywhere else.
Through strategic partnerships with talented artists and investments in cutting-edge equipment, we've established ourselves as innovators in the hat industry, offering unparalleled quality and customization. By prioritizing local sourcing and in-house production we uphold our commitment to excellence and cultivate deeper connections with our community. As I reflect on this journey, I am filled with gratitude. With each hat we create, we strive to convey not just our product, but a piece of our heartfelt dedication and commitment to our customers satisfaction.
